Perspectives on Wood Preservation Chemistry

on Thu, 14/01/2016 - 10:31

A new Dalton Perspectives article focusing on Wei's pioneering work exploring the chemistry of micronized copper preservatives has just been published in Dalton Transactions. Wei has published a number of excellent papers with some really nice fundamental analytical chemistry applied to very complex systems but these have focused on reporting our results to the Wood Science community as opposed to the chemistry community. However, every time I spole about her work at chemistry conferences, inorganic chemists have tended to get quite enthralled by the work so we thought it would be appropriate to find a way to disseminate this information to a more chemistry-based audience. Thanks to Dalton for giving us this opportunity to tell the story.
